Press release
Houston Chamber of Commerce
Thursday May 19th 2007
At the regular meeting on Thursday May 17th 2007 Mrs. Angela Rosas announced she is moving out of State and resigned her position as President of Houston Chamber of Commerce. Roger Purcell was elected to her seat by the members present.
Angela has done a great job for the chamber and will be greatly missed in our community said Mr. Purcell. Mr. Purcell plans on being pro-active to promote the Business Community of Houston. Opening the chambers office in the tourist and visitor center the first week of June is just a start.
Mr. Purcell also met with Mayor Adams this week as his first official act. It is the first step in bridging a working relationship between the city and chamber, “as an individual we can do little but together, as one, we can achieve so much” stated Mr. Purcell.
Roger Purcell has lived in Alaska over 42 years owns and operates a financial business and coffee shop, residing in Houston with his wife Bianca and son Micah.
